Discussion:
I think I smell starter fluid

My company buys and sells used forklift. We got 4 s120ft with glow plugs. 2 start no problems but the other 2 crank no start. 1 of them I
believe I smell starter fluid but don't want to keep cranking it.
How can I tell if the seller used starter fluid. If so how can I fix it.

The intake is where I smelled it from. Starter fluid should evaporate quickly. I agree. What I need to know now is besides a smell what are some other signs or damage from starter fluid on glowrodes.

Starting fluid will evaporate very fast, simply open up the air cleaner and remove the filter.
