Discussion:
Alarm sounding when in forward or reverse.

I have a 2004 Hyster H40XM, hour meter is inoperative, so no codes displayed. Alarm sounds after 2 or 3 seconds after shifting into forward or reverse. It beeps for 10-15 seconds then shuts off. Seat switch works, fluids are all fine. Any ideas?

With no display it is tough to determine what the problem is. Sounds like it could be a emission issue or low oil pressure.

Maybe a transmission failure. Check the sensors ( speed and pressure ) and the harness too.
