Hi,

Our Raymond 20R40TT doesn't move forward or reverse. We have troubleshoot and we can't find the problem. Is there anyone who has already face this kind of issue or anyone who could link us a service manual, wiring diagram, or some helpful infos please?

Thanks!

if your only pushing in one contact and the motor is moving your high speed contactor is welded or scr1 is shorted.

Check the small micro switch on the top of the drive motor. the brake pedal activates the master cylinder and turns on the switch.. common problem. and/or wiring to the switch

You have to explain in more detail what you are doing to test it. Are you just pushing one solenoid with one finger and the motor runs? Is it running full speed?

Yes, with a finger. And it works until I remove it and so, on forward and reverse position.

How do you by-pass the control solenoid? Push it with your finger? Then what, does it stay in and travel until you stop and try to go again?

Yes, power steering and lifting work fine, and drive motor too if we by pass the control solenoid.

Does the power steering and lifting work ok? If so, the drive motor may be so dirty or gounded that it won't allow it turn on. You should unplug the battery and check the resistance from the power plug on the forklift to the frame, both positive and neg. It should be at least 100,000 ohms but if it gets down below about 20,000 ohms it won't turn on the drive. If that shows a ground, you could try washing the motor with electric cleaner and blowing it out.

Is this a old lift with a black box type of controller under the cover to the right of where you stand on it? If so I have some info on that model.

The only gauges on dash are battery level and hourmeter. Nothing flashes. Is there a way to upload images in the discussion?

Fact of the week
Bluetooth is named after the 10th-century Viking king, Harald Bluetooth, who united warring tribes in Denmark and Norway. In 1997, Jim Kardach from Intel gave the name to the technology because of its ability to unite different communication protocols, just as Harald united various tribes.
