Discussion:
cat nr4000 stand up electric forklift. code 41

I have spent 13 hours chasing down this code. At start up screen goes to code 41 mod 6 with no travel, but all hydralics work ok. After leaving truck on for 10 minutes or so and shutting off and restarting, there is no code and travel now ok. Please help.

no problem lonnie_a

there is also a way to monitor the inputs and outputs through the dash display but that only tells you if a switch or a sensor is turning on or off, it does not show voltages or resistance on these circuits.

i only suggested calling a cat tech because unless you know these machines and their quirks you can spend alot of time trying to troubleshoot.

Thank you for your response much more involved than I anticipated. I will call in a cat tech. Once again I thank you for your time.

if you're unsure how to troubleshoot the systems on this truck i would suggest calling a cat tech to do it.
a manual would be required and also a laptop interface to monitor and adjust any signal errors, the problem might just be a setting out of wack or a faulty sensor or faulty signal from a sensor due to a bad connection.

Thank you for your reply. Serial# 5NR3337702. This truck continues to do the same. Every time after it sits for a period of time ( 30 min or longer) and you key up, the code comes up, but after you leave it on for a short period and re-key, it starts up and no code and is ok, as long as it isn't shut off again for a while. In this case, do you suggest to substitute logic, and if so what steps do I take to do this. Thank you.

serial number?
Alarm 41
Mod6 is steering control

MICRO SLAVE KO

Cause: The Master Microprocessor (MM) has detected a status
signal coming from the supervisor (SM) that doesn't agree with
the present command values. When MM is reading a command
value different from the one the SM is reading, this alarm will
occur. Remedy: If the alarm occurs permanently, it is necessary to substitute the logic.
