No drive

Snorkelift UNO-33 serial,# 878731287, yr12-1987
Well it all started not going in forward sometimes then it quit going all together. F/R contactors working fine and motor was checked out good. Brushes are still good but might replace them, also getting the correct voltage to motor. Was told by 2 of our electricians and a service tech i called in that it was the motor controller , so i ordered a new one installed it and well i wouldn't be typing this if it was working. All other Hydraulic functions work fine on lift. Thinking i need to pull drive motor off and have it rebuilt Any help would be greatful

I have a Snorkelift 41E that is doing the exact same thing. It started getting slower and slower in forward but drove full speed in reverse. Now it will not move forward. I have ordered probably the last joystick on earth for this machine because I couldn't get an OHMs reading off the potentiometer. I have not receved it yet but saw this post and was wondering if you got it figured out?

On this lift....are the drive wheels hydraulically driven or electrically?
You say the hydraulic functions work,if the wheels are hydraulically driven check the following:

Inspect center post.....
Remove hoses at V1 and V2 ports of Dual Counterbalance Valve. Plug hoses and cap valve. Install a 5000 psi pressure test gauge to Pump Test Port While activating drive control function, check pressure. Should read 2400 psi (while activating function)

Inspect drive control valve...
Remove hoses from drive section of Control Valve. Plug the hoses and cap valve. Install a 5000 psi pressure gauge to Pump Test Port. While activating drive control function, check pressure. Should read 2400 psi (while activating function)

All this is from the troubleshooting manual in snorkellifts website

One quick check you can do on the drive motor, remove the power cables going to it,ohm from the stud of the connection to the motor case, shouldnt be any continuity,if there is then the motor needs refurbished....
