Glad to help-keeps the ole' brain workin! I'm gonna take a guess based on old Hysters I used to work on how they were hyd plumed. I'm guessing the aluminum box you speak of is a diverter valve of sorts- controlling the flow of oil to the bell housing. Check for broken springs, sticking valves etc in this box (if I'm right).
I agree the hoses w/ no clamps would be the low pressure returns. I would also check these for blockage.
How are the hydraulics- do they have a "normal" feel or do they seem weak & sluggish?
Their are three fittings, one just above the F&R gear box on the bellhousing goes to an aluminum box, second hose comes out just above the release fork shaft that gets teed with another hose and then is mounted to the tank, both these hoses have no clamps or crimps, possibly low pressure. The last fitting is a plummers union that holds that aluminum box that was noted above. It seems that this aluminum box is the key to the circulation, weather it's the problem has yet to be determind. All opinions are greatly appreceated, go or bad. Sounds like the drain for the wet clutch set up is not draining. Check the routing of any/all hyd lines coming off the bell housing- one should go to the hyd tank. Make sure this hose is free of debris, etc.
The wet clutch set up should hold just a few inches of oil in the bottom of the bell housing, the entire housing should not be full of oil. Your starter is/will be leaking oil as well.
Wet clutch, yes. Preparing to remove trans.
I'm not familiar with your machine so this is a shot in the dark- does your truck have a clutch- perhaps it's a wet clutch issue ?
Update. The main pump is bolted in the counter weight, however there's an aluminum box with hoses "4" and a union fitting mounted on the flywheel housing that may be passing oil into the housing. I have no idea what that box dose. It has the numbers 174170 on it. I'm still thinking that the seal between the housing and the trans needs to be replaces. If any one has any info it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

front seal in the hydraulic pump is shot. replace or rebuild the main hydraulic pump
