Discussion:
4700 Hydro hoses

Does anyone know what kind of fitting is on the over the mast hydro hoses for the sideshift on the carrage? They are parker hoses with jic on the truck side but on the carrage they are some italian weird internal o-ring to pipe fitting. My local hose supplier does not have these, nor do they know what they are, and i would like to find an adaptor to go to jic/ors, so i can stop having to buy these hoses direct from the stealership. Thanks in advance.

sounds like fittings i've seen on princeton and moffet piggyback lifts, maybe even on some linde's or jungheinrich's , can't remember definatly off the top of my head.

could be the metric flareless type fitting
possibly the BSP type

parker should have them though as long as you have the numbers off the shank of the fitting (if you can read them after being crimped)
our local parker vendor (livingston & haven) has them or can usually get them. Take a picture of it and send it to them, i'm sure they can help. Havn't seen anything they could not get as of yet :o)

If you can't find the fittings you need- have your hyd vendor cut the hoses right behind the fittings & install JIC fittings. Then you'll have a short "adapter hose" which will have common JIC fittings when the longer hose needs replacement. I've done this before for the same reason with no issues.

Find another source for hoses. They are common!

I think those are referred to as a DIN 24 degree cone swivel type fitting.

I had a look at what you posted, thanks, but those are not the style on it. The o-ring on this truck is not a "face seal" like a ors fitting, inside the female fitting their is a small tube with a o-ring on the outside that slides into the inside of the male fitting on the truck, its really hard to explain, i tried searching the internet but no fitting type diagrams were clear enough to determine what style it is. Was just hoping someone has run into this before and knew the type. Thanks
