We got a Mitsubishi FGC30K in our shop and are having transmission issues.
The truck came to us with absolutely no forward or reverse movement. We removed the engine from the unit to inspect the transmission. We removed the valve body from the trans and removed the giant snap ring holding in the clutch packs and found that the first few clutch packs are in great condition showing little to no wear. After putting that back together we disassembled the transmission pump and found major wear.
We replaced the torque converter and transmission pump and got the unit back together. Now that it's together we are not getting any fluid flow or pressure. Everything is spinning properly inside the trans and in the bell housing. The shift solenoid (not sure the correct term) is also operating properly.
We are at a loss - wondering what else could be causing no fluid/pressure. Anyone have input on this or is it time to swap this transmission as a whole?

From the look of the pictures it looks like the gears either don't have enough room (how is the inside front of the pump housing) or are being pushed towards the rear of the pump. Either way, I would suspect metal fragments somewhere. I would remove the control valve again & carefully inspect every nook & cranny.
We have no pressure present. Yes control valve was deep cleaned.
Have you gauged the forward and reverse clutch pack oil pressure check ports to see if you have any oil pressure present?
Did you take the control valve apart to clean out metal fragments/shavings?

Do you know of any way to post an image on here?
Or do I need to upload it to a hosting page?
Picture shows all - and we really didn't see too much metal fragments - just normal fine metal fragments. The customer actually changed the fluid prior to us picking it up thinking it would fix the issue. The strainer had an excessive amount of metallic like substance in it - and we were told they took it out and "cleaned it" as they could not find a replacement strainer.
When it eats the pump- what kind of wear do you see? Maybe some metal fragments got up inside the pressure relief valve?
Trans was still inside the unit - just pulled valve body off to inspect - after seeing the pump wear we replaced it thinking it was the issue - as this is not the first time this truck has eaten a trans pump.
Maybe a suction side issue of the pump- Just a thought. A question- did you rebuild the trans? If not- may I ask "Why not since it was all apart?"
