Nissan CWP02L25S brake potentiometer

The brake pedal potentiometer was not working. We replaced it and now there is an intermittent problem when you depress the brake pedal the truck either accelerates in the same direction or reverses direction. The harder you step on the brake pedal the faster the truck will accelerate or reverse direction.
Any ideas??

Check your regen contactor. fwd and reverse contactor for welding or binding contact plates. It's possible you have the brake pot and accel pot connectors crossed. Also check to see if you brake switch is stuck in on position. Never had one to do as described. Did you replace the brake pot with an accel pot?
