BT ROLATRUC ERROR CODE 102

Hi,and thanks for reading this,I have a BT Rolatruc approx 15 yrs old.It has started showing Error code 102 and will not move.Although the steering still works and could be coaxed into life by repeated turning on and off. However I have been away for a week and now it refuses to move at all.T handbrake stays on and its only function is the steering.I`ve had 2 forktruck technicians look at it to no avail.Does anyone please have an idea what Error Code 102 is?????????? Thanks in advance Peter.

Have you checked the switch on the parking brake cylinder?

Sometimes they need adjustment, try giving it a wiggle & spraying some contact cleaner in there, watch your fingers!

Thanks for those suggestions, deadmans switch seems ok,battery in good condition, servo on brake unit/tried pushing the smaller pushrod onto the microswitch, that works and the brake light goes off, however the problem is that the larger pushrod pulling the handbrake cable is on all the time.Looking at the large electrical unit under the armrest, the rocker switch for the handbrake, lights its telltale LED to go on but not its opposite LED to go off?

I've changed a few of those little inner springs over the years, BT used to offer them as a spare part, then they realised if you couldnt get that spring they could sell you a new cylinder instead.

Not had one of the cylinders apart for a few years, I seem to remember there is a BIG spring inside that has a lot of force in it so be carefull if you attempt to take the cylinder apart!

Under foot pedal cover has a micro switch S20 for brake release and brake applied positions mounted on the support of the brake cylinder. Check this switch and the push rod for it.

The brake cylinder has a small push rod with a small inner spring wich sometimes breaks and prevents back into position.

Hi

Reflex DC, dont see many of those around any more.

E102 = Error signal from servo electronics.

Faulty servo unit OR the emergency stop has been activated.

Have a look at the contact block on the back of the emergency stop switch, sometimes these do play up & cause error codes to be flagged up.

Remove the armrest cover ( wing nut & unclip the lever for console ) have a look at the grey transistor panels, see what led's are showing on the traction one.

While the cover is removed check all the main system fuses.

Also I take it the battery is in good condition?

I've not touched a Reflex DC for years, they never normally give much trouble.
