Discussion:
TRANSMISSION ELECTRICAL FAULT

We recently had a Hyster H2.00XMS that had a loose wiring connection in the loom behind the hand brake assembly. We rectified this, but now have no power to the transmission and hence no forward or reverse drive.

Does anyone have any ideas???

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Hi kevin....

firstly thank you very much for taking the time to respond to our fault....

It is a lever control and as mentioned the initial fault was - "when the handbrake is put on (when the truck is running) the starter motor trys to engage" This stopped when we moved / secured the loose connections, but then the drive was lost.

I have it stripped down now in the workshop to change the ring gear, so when it is back together later this week what would you suggest checking first. Incidentally without being to pushy, would you know the torque settings for the bolts that hold the fly wheel on.

Once again thank you very much for your valued help.

is this truck monotrol or lever control. you may have joined the wires for the handbrke switch together which would cut power to the drive
