Hi Leon
I had a similar problem on the shunt wound type Linde, and the problem was the Dead man cut off switch had a small interlock switch inside the dead man cut off switch and that switch was faulty.
On the series would motor trucks, if the interlocks are ok the accelerator is ok and the contacts have been replaced and motors checked ok, then i would guess its a controller fault?
Also just remembered had one last week DC series wound linde, the contactors were coming in but the truck would not drive and the problem was the regen contactor was not operating and when it did operate the tips were not making as the tips were very bad on the regen contactor, this was also an intermittant fault with similar symptoms..
I still have aproblem with this truck, the wheels don't try to turn once jacked up, there is no signs of movement. The fault is more difficult to find because it is intermittent. the fault will clear when testing. But it doesn't clear when checking anywere in particular. I am running out of idea's. Has anyone elso had similar problems?
Hi Leon,
Have you tried to jack up the truck to see if it can run lightly when the contactors closed ? Or you can try to use the DC Ampere meter to check if there is the power output to motor. If you can read the Ampere value on the meter please let me know how much ? This is very important information before thinking out any more steps.

Hi Nuna, i have replaced direction contacts fault still occurs. I have checked traction motor brushes etc. i will check speed sensors.
Hi Leon,
How are you doing ?
The direction contactors operate means that all the traction enable signals are OK. You should check the following points :
- Jack up the front wheels truck to see if the wheels are running when the direction contactors closed ?
- If only one wheel run and the other stop => you need to check the curve switch 1S1 & 1S2 in the rear wheel - near the steering cylinder.
- Check the contactor tips for worn out and bab connection, you have better change the contactor for trial since some contactor tips look still good but they have very bad connection actually.
- Check carefully the battery votage with load e.g if the battery is decreased too much during lifting ?
- It is certain that the traction burshes are still OK since you have no error but you have better check contact between the brushes and the roto of the traction motor.
- Finally, I can say you should check the speed sensor of the traction motor. This is because when the speed sensor is abnormal the controller couldn't recognize it and make the traction become crazy.
Good luck & regards
Nuna
