Discussion:
Need help identifing forklift

Hi: I recently purchased a Yale and am interested in knowing the year it was built and the engine mfg.
The model is GC030CENUAV077 and serial number N569815.
I am initially in need of a water pump therefor the reason for needing the info. I've heard the engines are Mazda or Mitsubishi so I'm thinking the pump should be cheaper than going to the Yale dealer.
Thanks for any help.

Well it's a matter of economics. I called the local Yale dealer today and his price was $116 but he didn't have it in stock.
I then called Ed's surplus pumps and after exchanging critical measurements I determined he had the correct pump for $17.54 plus shipping so I ordered it. I questioned the guy on why the pump was so cheap and he said it's a Mazda automotive application so why would one give a dealer so much more for the same part?
This lift is going to be used at a automotive repair shop for occasionally lifting engines and misc. work and probably once a month or so. Definitely not everyday use.
Thanks for all the insight.

Warren M; I think that your shopping prowess is getting the best of you.
Although I prefer to buy locally, I find I pay an average of 4 times more locally than what I can buy parts from a forklift parts supplier.
Example: A Clark transmission filter list price is about $27.50
Local parts store #1- $44.00
Local parts store #2- $55.00
I priced out a Hyster seal for a customer yesterday.
Hyster list price $5.65
He got quoted $25.00 from a local parts store.

As a dealer, I don't know of one local automotive parts store that has the fogiest notion of sourcing any forklift truck part.

I found one at Ed's on the internet but the price is so low ($17.54, new with hub). I'm wondering about the quality. I don't want to do the job twice!
Anyone bought from these people?
I have a great supplier of foreign auto parts here in Pittsburgh and I'll call him tomorrow. Would this pump have a Mazda auto application or is it specific to the forklift?
Thanks

That's the Yale forklift part #. If you can't find one for under $60 contact me using the email in my signature.

That's exactly what I was looking for, thanks.
Would that part number be Yale or Mazda? It doesn't come up on NAPA's cross reference and they can usually cross anything.

Early 1990's Mazda D5 engine. Water pump # 9012828-51. Aftermarket pumps are alot cheaper than the dealer.
