2006 irion/ perkins problems

hello all. does anybody have any info on perkins flash codes. i have an IRION DFQ 50/12/45 fitted with a perkins 1100 engine. every now and then when you turn the key to startup the engine it fails and the red hazard and yellow glowplug lights flash in various patterns ie 1 red/5 yellow/2 yellow/1 red/4 yellow/2 yellow. it goes on for a bit with no regular pattern i can see. but if you turn key off and try to restart engine it fires up. even more irregular when driving along the battery light will flash on and engine will shutdown. key off and it starts up again straight away , and will run fine for days. i,m starting to think its a wiring fault..... any help appreciated
