Discussion:
H1 Code

Hello everyone,

I have a Toyota 8HBW23, one of three units recently received. On this particular unit, if you switch directions quickly, it honks, throws a red H1 code, and continues switching directions.

The other two units are not exhibiting this behavior.

Has anyone experienced this issue before or know what the H1 code indicates and where I should start looking?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I'm going to follow up on this. It ended up being a bad battery in the pack. Our company had ordered 40 of these lifts to be distributed across 10 states to different facilities. Toyota had aggressively ordered sealed batteries from EnerSys to put in our units and they sat for way too long before being received by us. Toyota was proactive instead of reactive and had the batteries replaced on all 40 units on their dime. I had 3 of these units at my site. The battery replacement fixed this unit. I was a little surprised as the unit only had 10 hours on it. Toyota came out and determined the bad battery under warranty and expedited getting EnerSys out to get it remedied.
