Discussion:
Im trying to determine what make transmission is in this unit

I'm looking at a Hyster P60A forklift, serial number 000A018D047852, that is a running unit with a bad transmission. Havent had time to go see it in person but will hopefully this week. Im thinking it is a manual 4 speed transmission, but im wondering if a 4 speed chevy transmission might fit as a replacement??? Ive got one of those!!!!!!!!!!! Lol.

Anyone have any input??

Thanks

Mscb,

The transmission for this lift will only have one, possibly two speeds, high and low. Transmission in a forklift are built for torque not speed. If you have a chance to look at the transmission, it should have a data plate attached that will supply model and serial number. Due to the age, best to remove and have it rebuilt if parts are still available. Good Luck.

The hard to do we do right away. The impossible just takes a little longer.
