Brakes wont release no negative to brake coil

Just had one that the brakes wont release but unit passed self test and no codes. No negative from the VM to the brake coil. Deadman switches pass all the test and over the mast cables test good. Swapped VM and code brakes wont release. Ended up changing the brake switches and unit now works. So if no negative to brake coil and switches pass test still change the dead man switches.
