Discussion:
Engine is starting and stops right away

Hello, I have a problem about my forklift Jungheinrich DFG 316 from 2016 with serial FN530686.
The engine is starting and dying right away.
I put the key in start engine position, and the engine starts smoothly, and when I let the key, the engine it stops.
If I hold the key on start position, the engine is running untill I let the key, however the forks are not working.
When I let the key from start position, the engine is dying right away

Hi, thanks for the reply.
I didn't change the belt. I bought the forklift from Romania dealer for new and at this moment the machine has only 1300h total, because we dont work very much with it. I'll change tomorrow the keyswitch to see if it solves the problem. I'll post a reply after I change it.
Thank you very much for the idea.

Might be a bad keyswitch, or loose connections under keyswitch. Also we once experienced this after faulty timing belt change. Has your timing belt been maintained as factory requires? (Once in 3000h)
