I have just become a qualified Lift truck instructor within the UK after winning the title of National Forklift Operator of the Year 2008, My qualifications in the uk are with RTITB and the AITT, I would love to know what qualifications i would need to work as an instructor in the US and Australia.

I am not sure about Australia however it is difficult to acquire a working visa for the US. Unless you are a professional i.e. doctor, lawyer, nurse, engineer, etc, or possess a Bachelors of something, or you are an international rock star, movie star, model or magician or sports figure for a semi or professional team, good luck finding entry into the US.

I commend you on your achievemnets however those achievemnets are not really recognized by the US. I am attempting myself to enter the US, and it is not easy, and I live only 45 miles (60kms) from the border. I am an overachieving forklift safety trainer, probably one opf the tops on the continent, and we'll have to see what that buys me.

If you open up a business in the US, say a $250,000.00 investment, they will probably let you in provided you hire 5 fulltime U.S. employees. Or, if you work for a company in England, and there are US branches, or vice versa, you can get in that way. It is not easy however there may be immigration lotteries in England to gain a green card to the US. They have them in Canada but you have to wait years, and have luck on your side.

Good luck in your findings. There are American government websites that deal directly with what your are looking for, and you can research them.

Times are tough in the US right now and with the elections happening tomorrow, there may be a crack down on legal immigration since so many US citizens are currently unemployed.

Maybe you will luck out.
