Discussion:
Codes G4, 5J, 5G

I am looking for some ideas for the G4, 5J and 5G codes. I have tried a couple different batteries. It will drive for a little bit and then throw the 3 codes. Sounds and feels like the break is dragging when it throws the codes and the break and drive motor will heat up quickly. Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you've had weakened or bad batteries the problem is control power. Look closely at the relay board...

most likely brake its bad or the DM its binding, that drags the voltage. Lift the truck, remove the brake assy. check the motion of the motor.
