Discussion:
Fork drift

I have a Yale, the forks drift down. Sometimes faster than others. We capped the line and the drift stops. We pressurized the line back to the valve and there is very little leakage, maybe one drop every few seconds. Should i have no drips at all? What else could be leaking?

If that the case l would be looking at worn spool in control valve or possible spring broke or something in lifting control valve causing lift to drop if it was packing l believe it would start to come down when you Caped line

I lifted and supported the forks, removed the line, capped it, and removed the support. the forks did not drift down.

Am not sure what you mean by caping the line what l would do would be to put a hyd gate between the lift line and hyd valve lift spool then raise the mast and shut the gate off watch the lift cylinder if it starts to come down l would check the lift packing if it does not move l would have the control valve looked at possible leaking past lift spool back to tank.
