I have a similar issue.
I do see a code EP110 briefly come on as soon as you turn the switch on and then goes to the hours. I do not have a red light either. No function at all on mine not even the horn.

A 70-year-old man was killed by a truck while cycling; hours later, his twin brother was killed by a truck on the same road, about a mile away, before the family had been informed of the first accident.
