Old (1950s) Baker suddenly turns over slow and will not start

Hello all, I am new here and hoping to get some advice on an old Baker FMA-050 (this model number was not an option above but IS on the plate) sit down truck, which I have been unable to find ANY information about. I bought it about 4 months ago. It started right up until about two weeks ago. It started turning over slow but would start right up with a portable battery jump. But now it just turns over a time or two (even jumping it with the car) and then clicks and then nothing. I did take the cables off and clean and retighten everything around all the connections. I'm being told it might be the starter. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any consideration.

I will have to bring my multimeter in to the warehouse tomorrow and check it out. I have no tools here today. I will check it out...to the best of my ability, which is limited. Thank you for the advice. Assuming I find the starter is bad will I be able to have it rebuilt as it is so old? I can't imagine finding a new one.
