Discussion:
I am pretty sure it is older than 1960...

Serial # 11426086
Model Ft40-24

It is running, having had the head checked and the brakes worked over by the previous owner. I am going to have a go at getting it back to it's previous glory. Any info that anyone has would be an awesome help! I will try to figure out how to post pictures...

Ya need to have a serial number - they were stamped on the frame forgot the location (seem to think it was on the left hand frame rail under the floor plat - hand stamped with a die set and smalm 2 pound sledge hammer, But when i joined AC back in late 1967 - their fork lifts look like that, (called the waterfall look) except with an Overhead Guard - unless the customer/dealer didn't want it. Then OSHA came in 1969..

PS parts are hard to find - AC made a high percentage of the truck, axles, manual trans, driving/steering axles, masts, frames, did heat treating etc. But in the end they died the death of a rag doll..

Fact of the week
In May 2023, a Belgian Malinois named Wilson played a key role in the rescue of four children lost in the Amazon jungle. The young children were missing for 40 days after a plane crash that killed their mother and other adults. Wilson tracked the children's footprints, leading the military to their location.
