Teach lift pot

We replaced the lift pot because the ribbon cable was broke. It throws error saying the pot is activated. So we tried looking for the teach in option, but couldn't get our heads round it. Could anyone assist with the sequence or explain how this needs to be done, as the service manual isn't too helpful either. The floor switch error occurred whilst i was attempting a teach in, which i think.i mistakenly changed a setting. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
