Discussion:
Risk associated with warehousing

Hi everyone,
Warehouse is now no more complex business to manage. All thank so to the technology but still warehouse managers are facing challenges, so I am just curious to know about what are the various risks do you feel are associated within your warehouses and what are the steps you taking to deal with them.

My safety project to work on this year is developing a plan to reduce slip and fall injuries. Each section of the warehouse and outside is identifying their own risks and adding training to be alert to the possible problems and focus on acting safely at all times.

The biggest risk in warehousing is proper management. Can handle it with some good software that manages all the detail.

At the opening ceremony of the Sydney Harbour Bridge in 1932, marching bands were instructed to walk out of step as they crossed the bridge. This unusual directive was given as a precaution due to concerns about the bridge's structural integrity during its early use.
