Discussion:
Wont fully extend or tilt under load

Hello everyone,

I am experiencing a problem with the SC4000 at my work.

Under any load, once the second section of the mast extends, the forks will no longer tilt. Also, once it reaches a certain height, It will just stop extending all together, even though it has a couple more feet to go.

There are no codes, and nothing seems to be wrong with the mechanically wrong with the lift system.

Has anyone else experienced this? Anything to check, that maybe I overlooked?

This unit has a tilt interlock system. Once the mast opens, you will only be able to tilt fwds about 2 degrees instead of the usual 6. Or, if you have already tilted fwds more than 2 degrees and then you lift the forks and the mast opens, lift will cut out until you tilt back to under 2 degrees. It is a design feature.

If the forks are raising ok with the mast open and then stop then the switch on the L/H tilt cylinder requires adjustment/replacement.
