Discussion:
Running Rich

I have a Hyster H50FT (L177) that is running rich/low power. Code 522630-2. When I monitor the oxygen sensor through the dash, the voltage remains high (.88V) at idle. The oxygen sensor does react as designed when using the accelerator. The unit has a 2.4L GM engine. I am wondering what the fuel pressure should be on this unit. It is a multiport system. Any thoughts anyone has would be great. This one has me stumped. Thanks

When where the injectors changed? We have had several of these have problems and the new injectors took care of the problem. Service manual says they need changed every 2500 hours.

Did you solve this issue? I am having the same issue with the same model Hyster. Any additional information would be greatly appreciated.

If the injectors have more than 2000 hours on them I would change them out.

I work on 2 of these- sounds like maybe the fuel injectors are acting up. Sounds kinda stupid but what I do if I suspect the regulator's running too much pressure is to slightly raise the engine rpm in neutral & shut off the propane tank & listen to the rpm of the engine as it runs out of fuel. If the engine seems to "clear out" & run normally just before it runs out of gas the system is rich. If it just stalls with no rpm change before the stall then the richness isn't because of a pressure issue.

I've had ALOT of problems with the injectors in the 2 I service- customer refuses to change LP provider. i'm always having to clean/replace the injectors so the unit will run correctly.

I was thinking it was LPG.

It should be 38-48 PSI at idle. This is for a gasoline engine.

I put a gauge on the fuel rail, and the LPG pressure was more like 20 psi. I don't know if this is wrong, or right for this system

Difficult to find the pressures on this system. I would think 3-4PSI.
