Discussion:
Starts then dies

I have a hyster 110xm with the gm 4.3 lp fueled. It was brought to me due to a bad starter. I have replaced the starter and now what it does is it will start and run for a couple of seconds then shuts itself down starts right back up and does the same thing over and over acts as if there is some safety killing the fuel but I can't figure out what it could be any help or advise would be greatly appreciated

although it might be a fuel related issue...
first i would check the oil pressure sensor, they are notoriously prone to fail and when the engine loses oil pressure it will kill the ignition signal and shut down.
A tell tell sign is if you see any leakage around it, that usually means the switch diaphragm inside it is not holding under pressure.

Fact of the week
Foundling hatches are safe, anonymous drop-off points for unwanted infants, allowing parents in crisis a way to surrender a baby safely without fear of punishment, ensuring the child is rescued and cared for. The concept started in the 12th century, was abandoned in the late 19th century, then reintroduced in 1952. It has since been adopted in many countries.
