Joe d,
It appears it took MM over two months to come up with the ramblings in his latest post to comment on the 11.13.10 post. Guess the holidays & snow put a cramp in his style.
When someone uses the word "might" I immediately think of that very little small insect "mite" as "might" is not a very definitive word. It fits is in the category of words/phrases like: maybe, kinda', ASAP, aimin' or fixin to.

"Have An Exceptional Day!"
we had a really bad rain for about 5 days and everything flooded. Got snow in the high desert and the kids loved it. Finally starting to dry out and it looks like a good week of mid 70's and lots of sun. We got our free beer for the MLK holiday and I still need to finish it up this weekend!

Good morning! Not bad today but it'll be down to freezing for the next few. Atleast it'll be the weekend and I'll build a fire in the fireplace, pour a stiff drink or 3 and camp out in my recliner. How's things out there?

From what I have gathered, Barlo is churning and burning on employees throughout the south and east, this is never a good scenario for a customer or tech. Madman, I am wondering if maybe your in a position of authority to some degree to be one of the few guys posting to the benifits of your employer. If your still wrenching after 14 years and not some kind of supervisor, I would be really surprised, or bummed that you have not risen in the ranks. Is Hyster a good product, sure. But they have plenty of competitors willing to prove you wrong.

There is a small crack in opinion that has just allowed a poster to admit that the ole Hyster iron might be good. You bet it's good. The dealer is even better.I have worked for one for 14 years.I have never been treated better nor have I ever worked where I see people treated better. It's that simple. Our customers are treated as well as our employees. The day I signed on here was one of the best ( and smartest) days of my life.I would do it again in an instant. And if you should ever get the chance to sign on with a Barloworld branch, take it as fast as you can. During the past years their have been challenging economic conditions as well as other situations that cause difficulty in the business world.I can say that the upper management at Barloworld has handled themselves in the most reasonable manner. The quality of reasonableness is often sorely lacking in an employer. This attitude has been passed down through the ranks. When you are treated reasonably through good times and bad, mistakes and triumphs , you can go home and sleep at night.I rest well. That in of itself is worth a fortune. Our customers rest well too. They know we must put their interest first to keep our ship afloat. We help them stay in business as a partner. They depend on us because we are dependable. There is iron in our trucks.Platinum in our dealership.

Before Madman(or woman) starts touting the yellow iron vs the grey and red. He should refer to the get ready Barloworld techs postings. (most have since been deleted however). The iron might be good but you always have to look at the quality of the dealership.

Thanks johnr, calls'em like I see's em. Madmen in response to the red and the grey, what happened to the orange? Dont look now, but I think your bias is showing. The orange makes in my opinion the best three wheel sit down out there. Also, 4Y vs C5? I think we all can agree the 4y has got to be the best small block import ever made. The H20 comes in at a close second. Once again, just my opinion.

The initial question is what experience people had with the Crown & Raymond dealer - not anything about the product which is about all you talked about in your past threads. Both have worked hard to gain market acceptance in Atlanta area as the Toyota dealer has. But it seems those that used be significant players here tumbled down from the once held lofty position.

The better dealer in Atlanta is exactly what I have been pointing out. The Hyster dealer would be the obvious choice.I call that constructive help and support to other people. At the outset I pointed out that they are being overlooked and should not be.
Do you feel that if the question were to be asked "should I put distilled water or tap water in my gas tank which should it be?"that I would be overzealously pushing my personal agenda to point out that gasoline would be a better alternative.
I also note that if you cannot recommend your product and feel that that is helpful and constructive you are working for the wrong company.
Hyster was uninvited at the beginning. Now the attempt to uninvite by alluding that someone might have their feelings hurt. Good grief. This is business man ! If I have what you need I should do whatever , within the law, I can to get that message to you the customer.
