TYRI is proud to announce they have been ranked the highest among all Toyota suppliers, gaining the ‘Best Quality’ award in December 2024.

TYRI has been providing lighting solutions to Toyota Material Handling Europe (TMHE) for over ten years and is one of the few suppliers to deliver consistently to Toyota's three European production facilities: Ancenis (France), Bologna (Italy), and Mjölby (Sweden). Late last year, TYRI received the prestigious "Best Quality" award, ranking highest among Toyota's suppliers in Europe.

In a conversation with Guillaume Aoustin, Business Development & Strategic Commodities Senior Manager at TMHE Supply Purchasing, he shared insights about the long-standing and successful collaboration between Toyota and TYRI. Guillaume, who has held senior roles at Toyota TMHE for nearly 20 years, recently oversaw the major conference where the awards were presented.

“I am highly impressed by TYRI’s performance, both in terms of quality and meeting our other requirements. It is clear that they prioritize delivering according to our specifications and also initiate collaborations that help us improve and provide even better products. That’s why I’m pleased that TYRI has been awarded the Best Quality recognition among our European suppliers this year,” he said during our discussion.

For TYRI, the award is confirmation that their efforts meet high-quality standards. Quality has always been a cornerstone of TYRI's business, making the company extremely proud to receive Toyota's award.

“Quality is a hallmark of Toyota. Therefore, it’s particularly rewarding for us to receive this recognition. It confirms that we maintain very high-quality standards, and being acknowledged for it is incredibly gratifying. We value the high expectations Toyota places on its suppliers and welcome the collaboration we have to further refine the production and products we deliver. This makes TYRI a better company and helps us continue to grow,” said Martin Karlberg, CEO and founder of TYRI.

In December 2024, TYRI was also designated as a Certified Supplier in France, the highest ranking in Toyota’s three-tier supplier evaluation system. In a statement regarding the certification, Laura Roche from Toyota Material Handling Manufacturing France SAS said:

“We want to extend our sincere thanks for the quality of your services and the outstanding results you have delivered over the past year. Your commitment, professionalism, and responsiveness have greatly contributed to our shared success, and we are delighted to have such a reliable partner as you. Your ability to meet our expectations, often within tight deadlines, is especially appreciated and has strengthened our mutual trust.”

Over the decade-long partnership with Toyota Europe, TYRI has provided everything from standard lights to product-specific designs that enhance brand identity through lighting. When TYRI customized lighting for a warehouse truck manufactured by Toyota, the design was awarded the prestigious Red Dot Award.

“We have an incredibly exciting and stimulating collaboration with Toyota, where we utilize all our expertise to deliver the desired products. It is with pride and humility that we accept the Best Quality award, and we now aim to prove ourselves worthy of it. We look forward to a long and continued successful partnership,” concluded Martin Karlberg.

However, TYRI’s ambitions extend beyond maintaining exceptional quality standards. A key focus is their commitment to sustainability and minimizing environmental impact. This work underscores the importance of collaboration among suppliers, customers, and end users.

“We see great opportunities in our partnership with Toyota. We want to learn more about sustainability and work together to create the most energy-efficient product lifecycle possible,” said PeO Axelsson, Marketing Manager at TYRI.
