Discussion:
Decoder for Crown Serial #

Is there a site or chart that can help decipher what a lift is by the serial number? I am looking at a couple of lifts and the main plate is messed up but I can read the serial number(s).

Also, can a side shift be added to an older say 2005-2016 unit. Mainly looking at Walkie Straddle Stacker for this purchase.

I received one of the serial #'s this afternoon: 6A182896 and the other is sequential 6A182897.

This is a W series and I'm not sure what the difference is between it and the m and st/sx series.

How do I know what version a SX3000 is? I'm looking at a service manual and it has
SX 3000N-1.35 TL
SX 3000-1.35 TL
SX 3000N-1.35 TT
SX 3000-1.35 TT

I know it is a SX3000 TT unit but not sure about the 1.35 or what that refers to.

I can certainly agree with you. I don't want to buy anything where I think I might spend more than buying new. This one might be a winner though, this should come back as a 2019 model. It currently has 281 hours on it.

If you don't mind, Serial #5A544214

I'm a career service tech. I don't buy trucks. But if I did, I would not even consider a truck that does not operate. Plus, if the material condition of the truck is poor, I would consider it a safety hazard. I see customers out here buying cheap trucks all the time. They told me what a "great deal" they got. Then they end up spending thousands of dollars just to get them operational. Just my two cents worth.

Anything I need to look for when I see it in person? I can't test it as the batteries aren't charging. The unit has been sitting outside but wrapped up. Looks like the chain is rusty or surface rust. He's asking $2250 but could probably get it for less.

You have to spell dot instead of using one or it removes the address. So example 123@yahoo dot com
