Friday before we left work me and another guy were checking the system out. We looked at the wireg going to the selenoids it look good. The other guy got a small ball pin hamner and tap on the main manifold 1 where the selenoids are while i was holding the lever for lift function and while he tap it we got it to move up. Going to work on it tomorrow if possible we have other urgent equipment that we take care off. Thanks for the support!
the auxiliary functions like tilt and reach and side shift run off the auxiliary hydraulic function that is controlled by the main hydraulic controller. auxiliary functions use the main hydraulic pump at a reduced speed using a separate control solenoid in the hydraulic function manifold 1, the auxiliary function control circuit is then enabled for manifold 2 (located at the carriage) when an auxiliary function such as tilt, side shift or tilt is selected.
Main lift and lower are a separate circuit off the main hyd controller using a specific solenoid valve on the manifold 1.
Both auxiliary and main hydraulic functions are both originated at the main control handle. The information is gathered from the display unit controller and is distributed via the CAN bus to both the valve and pump controller.
Fixing the wire in the mast control cable wires did fix the auxiliary function control out to the manifold 2 at the carriage but it seems you still have an issue somewhere between the control handle, display unit and main manifold 1 solenoid's that control lift function.
Finally got some time to work on the lift. I did find a wire that has been repaired before on the connector coming out of tube on the mast where it connects to the wire that goes to the valve block for the forks,reach,shift system. Repaired the wire again and i got function back to everything except going up. I can hear motor kick on but it does not go up.
I believe we are having battery issues to. When doing functions battery was at 50 percent.
LOL, Swoop has definitely done one of those jobs! Yes, it doesnt make sense how complicated it is to change over mast wires on a Cat, Juhngheinrich, and now Unicarrier. Need a fish to pull wires through.
probably not, the sensors or contact related to the error is in the steering unit sensors or their associated wiring most likely, not out on the mast. But since the auxillary functions on the mast do work off of the auxillary pump circuit which also operates steering it may.
Checking that wire harness in the mast isn't that hard, just raise the carriage up and extend the reach out to get access to the plug at the base of the carriage frame, then find the other end of the plug on the outside of the left side of the mast and check the continuity of each wire. They are color coded so it would be hard to mix up the wires. if one of the wires is broken it will have more resistance than the others. If you wiggle the harness/hose assy around while connected you will probably see alot of variation in readings. Or possibly might see it open up completely.
Would that issue with the cable give us Code 33 as well? Going to try to check on the connector ends sometime today
the 'over the mast' cable he speaks of isn't actually a "cable". CAT's genius engineers came up with the bright idea of making a twinline hose assembly with the wire tube made into the hose so basically you have 2 hoses like a twinline hose with a hollow tube in the center of the hoses, all made into one assembly. And the catch to that is the wires running through this tube are loose wires you have to pull through the tube assy and then install the connector ends on after you get it pulled and installed on the mast. I guess running a separate cable was too easy for them so they decided to add a challenge to the mast hydraulic/electric hose concept. And to top that off the route they run the hose with the hose brackets just add's to the challenge when reinstalling the hose assy.
It's not an easy job by any means.
As for the K1 and K2 relays? K1 and K2 reference the contactors, are you meaning the K11 and K12 relays?, from what i remember i never had any issues with those myself.
the over mast cable you stated is inside the mast?
Also have you ever had any issues with the realays? Cat is calling them K1 & K2 Part no: RL188826

ANY BREAKS IN THE OVERMAST CABLE and you lose all lift and aux functions. Usual break is at base inside reach where cable comes out. But with no reach, its difficult to access that area. Cat and Jungheinrich are same problem. You may need another lift to raise carriage or unhook reach hoses to extend. Poor system

It's good they work, the code changed because you activated a sensor out of an expected sequence most likely. I'll check on that new code and see what it means and get back to you as soon as i can.

Ok I tested the sensors and led came on all three sensors 32 33 34. When I did it on 33 the alarm beeping stopped on the sicos menu then code 54 pop up.
