You may want to contact a local clark dealer in your area to help you resolve your issue. You'll need them to order parts when you start restoring. Go to their website and you can find who they might be - clarkmhc (dot) com. Replace the (dot) with a. & close the spaces. This site will strip out the exact web name. Clark has been rebuild their dealers over the years but there still are some dealers that have a long history with Clark they will probably will be able to help you if you get some one with lots of gray in their hair or the Kojak look, wears bifocals & talks slow but surly - in other words not a mellennial
If the dealer isn't much help you can try to contact the headquarters in Lexington, KY- they may or may not want to help you. Some companies have a policy not to talk directly to an end user.
If you have pictures of this machine that might be of help - not certain how you can post them on this site but someone might be able to to give you instructions on how to.

Unsure if the M is part of the serial or a scratch on the edge of the tag. Am I correct that they run off 6 volts?

What Duo is referring to as a end user is someone who is not a dealer or independent repair facility. Other words a company that actually uses the truck.
As he also mentioned for some one, even a dealer, to know the year of the truck with out a complete model and serial number is next to impossible.
The Clark "Clipper" was produced from 1941 through 1964 and went through many changes which would reflect in the actual model and serial number. So to get you the correct part they need the complete model and serial number as the parts would have changed through out the years of production.

If memory serves me right the 2111C is just the series and not the complete part number for the pump. From what I pulled up on line there are at least 12 versions of the 2111C pumps.

Your best bet is to take the pump to a local rebuilder and see if they can identify it. Or you can try Hader Industries they do a lot of rebuilding for the forklift industry. Their phone number is 877-388-2102

What qualifies someone other than end-user? Model #ce42559 which is on the plate and also stamp on the side of the forklift. My question was in reference to vickers 2111C which may have been used on something other than the clipper forklift

I don't doubt that you Clark is a 1942 but I've always found it funny that the only thing most end users know about their forklift truck is its year which is odd because they are all in code.

In 2005 I toured the Clark Parts Distribution facility in Louisville, KY & they had an old truck loader on display in the lobby. The Clark folks "claimed' they still could get parts for it - may have been some marketing BS.
But if you have a serial number you might want to contact a Clark dealer, if you have a long time Clark dealer in you area the would be a plus or contact Clark direct - website clarkmhc dot com > just replace the dot with a. & eliminate spaces. w/o a complete s/n you will be SOL. Look for a stamping in the frame somewhere or on the data plate.

It is a 1957 or 1958. I think that parts are probably pretty scarce. What might not be available new can most likely be gotten either used or rebuilt I do have a parts manual on this truck. So if you need anything contact me at gitrucks at adelphia dot net.

Ok, heres the numbers I could find on the tag, it says "Clark Truck Loader" Model # TR, serial # 89 QL237, Type G thats all the stuff other than patent numbers I can read...Whats the availability of parts on this?? I know these were made from 1945-1967 got that from clarks website...thanks for any help!!

You will need the serial # to obtain the yera of manufacture.

Speaking of old Clark lifts, does anyone out their know how to tell the year of the old Clark Truck Loaders???The company I work for has one and we just got it back running...Needed a battery and a choke cable!! otherwise its 90% original and is still in working order!!if anyone can help me please let me know..thanks..

The serial # should be stamped in the frame just under the left hand tilt cylinder. If not check under the right hand cylinder. Let me know what parts that you need.

I have an old towmotor in the Cincinnati, Oh area and it does not have a nameplate/model number on it. Is there anyone out there that can assist me on the model# identification and then on locating some parts for it.

Ive seen people fix old tractors so lift trucks are not out of the question.Most tractors go anywhere but an old lift well you know.
