Starting

Hello
We have a 2004 Hyster H80 with GM 4.3 propane engine that has a problem restarting/turning over after use. It starts first thing in the morning but after it has been in operation has a difficult time turning over when we try to restart it after a short break. To me it appears that something(clutch?) is preventing the engine from turning over. The unit has had a new starter ring gear and starter installed and it is still giving us grief. I suspect the old parts were damaged as a result of this problem. At first you would think the battery is weak and not able to turn the motor over, but if you wait a few minutes it will turn over and start with no problem.
Any ideas???

Seen the starter solenoid trigger wire rub out on the frame.

starts ok when cold but not when it gets hot is what it sounds like your saying.
i would check the starter real good, see what kind of amps it is drawing after it gets hot. The starter may have some bad windings in it that break down and short when it heats up. Pull it off and have a starter shop check it.

I read your problem what l would do first is when this problem starts when it does not crank correctly remove the coil wire this will help to see if this is a mechanical problem or a electric problem. If the trucks cranks correctly than l would look for a timing problem or what ever controls the timing of it still cranks bad after pulling coil wire than l would say that you have a binding problem or cable problem. Also is this truck using a spectrum computer or a est module to control the truck get back to me after you test and maybe we can fix it.
