Discussion:
shuts off

We acquired a TW25B from one of our other stores. purchased in the 70's. it keeps shutting off when under any load such as a loading ramp or slight incline. I checked and the batteries were serviced before we got it. I cant find a manual but after talking to the store that had it is has been doing this for a long time. it sounds like the motor is pulling too many amps and the circuit breaker cuts it off. I do not have a manual but I am looking for one. any ideas?

On a flat floor, and you go wide open, does it accelerate and after 2-4 seconds make a "click" and go into high speed?

it seems to be most on an incline. haven't noticed much difference if I'm turning. We turn the key off and back on and it works. Like I said it wont even go up a ramp that is from street level to curb level, even empty.

Are you going straight when it happens? Does it cut off if you tilt while driving? What makes it come back to life after cutting off?

In 1898, author Morgan Robertson wrote a novel called 'Futility', which described an "unsinkable" ship named the Titan that sank after hitting an iceberg. Fourteen years later, the Titanic sank in a strikingly similar fashion.
