serial number

1a113389 Hello out there. i have thiis crown walkie that is jumpy when taking off. I replaced the speed pot but still is jumpy. will run at same speed all the time. Does anybody have any ideas please. Never had a crown like this before Thanks

You could try disconnecting the wires to the pot and see if it still does it. If so, it ain't the pot. The high speed contactor could be stuck on or there is something wrong with the SCR panel.

I didn't do it, nobody saw me and You can't prove a thing...
Thanks guys I tried 2 different pots I tried changing the gear around Still is jumpy when engaging switch Thanks Edward where are you from we just might be cousins if you have any other ideas it would be greatly appreciated

the gear on the accel pot is on backwards, and has a spot with no teeth that it can twist to that spot, and then it just stays there.
Rotate the gear so that the open spot on the teeth does not come up.
There is only 2 ways the gear can be installed, and you found the other way first.
It almost seems like we are related. In my family, if there is only 2 ways to do something, and 1 is wrong, we try the wrong way first, pulling on the door that says push, etc...

Adjust the accel pot. or forward/reverse switches is my guess.

I'd bet ya that the accel pot is far into its sweep when the foward or reverse switch finally engages.

Or conversely, the corresponding switch is in need of adjustment or replacement because the truck doesn't see it engaged until the accel pot is deep in its sweep.
