Discussion:
right side motor locks up when plugging

Home depot has an 3k that when plugging the right side tire locks up before changing direction. I changed it the motor due to arc flashes were coming out of it and it was smoking. I didn't get get a chance to treat it due to getting blocked in my work area. Any other ideas of what it could be. I'm leaving towards dual motor contact, but I thought that would cause both motors to act similar.

Sounds to me like you have a siezed motor brush or better yet...the brush housing has been dislodged and is hitting the commutator. Seen it a few times myself.

could be one of the 4 RECs. One of them is on the block beside the dual motor contactor and the other is on the SCR panel. Each one is for plugging on either the right or left motor.

The word "okay" (or its abbreviation "OK") originated as a humorous misspelling. In the 1830s, a fad in Boston involved using abbreviations of intentionally misspelled phrases. "OK" stood for "oll korrect," a playful mispronunciation of "all correct".
