I have a 2001 propane powered Linde H25T4585 S/N 351F02149525 that has been a wonderful machine until just recently. Two problems - first, the starter solenoid is intermittent. I have to rotate the key into the start position, turn it off and rotate again to get the engine to turn over. Sometimes it just won't engage until I put a battery charger on it. When it engages, it starts fine. No weird noises. It's not due to a bad battery - I put a new one in it and it still does the same thing.
Second problem - when it does start, it runs extremely (and I do mean extremely ) rough for at least 5 minutes in warm weather and 20 minutes in cold weather. Not enough power to do anything. Then as if a switch activated, it runs perfectly from then on. Will lift to capacity and runs extremely well.
Any ideas on what is broken?
I have replaced the regulator and removed the pressure switch manifold, so the propane tank connects directly to the regulator.
Plugs look perfect.

Fact of the week
The black box flight recorder was invented by Australian scientist David Warren in the mid-1950s. While initially met with indifference in Australia, his invention gained international recognition, particularly in the UK, and is now a mandatory piece of safety equipment on all commercial aircraft.
