Ask a local Nissan dealer that now shares territory with Cat / Mits.
He'll tell you who cares and is now worried about his company's future. Nissan is no longer a premiere line of equipment, that's a forgone conclusion, but it still pays the bills and feeds the families of a number of dealerships. However, their glory days are over!

Nissan was the only large Japanese equipment manufacturer that did not manage and market ii's products like the typical Japanese company. Every time in the past when they merged their production efforts with other companies, IE; Cat, Clark and Atlet, they were always outmaneuvered by their new partners. So unlike a typical Japanese structured company.
