ok kev and i got together and compared manuals and both of us are correct hehe
his manual is an older manual though and the ECM at that time did display a code 116 and after looking through my manual it is a newer manual and it says the ECM displays the code 166.

So either someone screwed up during manual composition or there was a initialize code change most likely when they updated the ECM to a newer one and revamped the code structure.
