Marty my Titan experience, we supplied 10 to the same customer bad points,
1 Hub reductions destroying them selves on a nearly weekly basis
2 Axles failing yes they were ZF
3 Transmission failures on 7 out of 10 machines
4 Masts failing on the bottom brace on ever machine (the uprated masts cracked too)
5 Chronic overheating and radiator failures 0n all machines
6 Tilt cylinders failing on all machines ( either splitting or welds failing)
We had 3 chassis crack too these machines we lifting a maximum of 4 tonnes but at an extended load centre but were run well under capacity we swapped them for Hyster H7.00XL machines till the contract end they didn't suffer a fraction of the problems the Titans did.
And there were more
We lost the customer to competitor who supplied another fleet of Titans having told the customer it was us that were not supporting them properly they faired even worse than we did all of the same defects we had they pulled the Titans out and put Doosans in
So now you know why i dont like Titans (I don't know an engineer who does)
