BUT, service manual (freshest freshest manual like Jan. 2014) says for 1:581... first check fuse F74 , but then proceeds to say that F74 has been deleted after S/N 6206800.
But I check it anyway, and it's good. Then in desparation I check ALL fuses with VOM and sure enough right next door F73 (7.5 Amp) is blown.
Replace the F73 and BINGO code is gone... seat switch suddenly works, life is good ??
Continue on replacing shredded cable ( with new one connected, temp. not final...just so I can raise the mast ) and the mast will not go above free lift ?? SS , tilt , all good, but stops dead at free lift transition , and pump is running, but sounds like its in relief??
Carry on with cable peplacement.... finish, run the mast up to check if it's still stuck.... up she goes right to the top ???
Now working perfectly.... ??
Maybe the tore up cable raised a lot of issues that it had to sort through, scrambled its brains a bit ?? I dunno ??
Your thoughts would be appreciated.
Sorry this dragged on forever !!

Fact of the week
According to studies published in the English Journal of Medicine, the impact of daylight savings is revealed by a 24% increase in heart attacks on the Monday following the spring shift forward. When clocks move back in autumn, heart attacks drop by about 21%, suggesting that loss of sleep is an important driver.
