I looked at a new 15,000# Maximal yesterday. Cost for customer is $30,000 less than a Toyota. At first glance it is a very nice machine but closer observation show some little improvements needed. First- the wiring harness connectors need to be the sealed type other manufacturers are using. There is a light duty flip door for access to the fuel filler cap, less robust than the one on by Ford truck! The cotter pins for the hood lift shocks were rusting enough to stain the body. And last I noticed was that the radiator cover was very thick heavy steel which was great- but the chassis in front of the steer wheels appeared to be the same thickness, and we KNOW that's not gonna hold up. All in all, so much of this machine is done right it appears, maybe Maximal will consider improvements in these areas.
