The unit sat around for years! Check plugs ok cleaned up and drop some trani fluid in the cylinders and roll over a couple of times,let sit for a day.So I top dead centre#1 cyl.set distrubor and the gap.
check spark wasn't strong like intermittent?check carb.clean out.
