HI there

We have this truck which has just suddenly stopped in the middle of the workshop. No drive, No Hydraulics. Steering still works and we have an audible alarm thats constant and at the front on the display we have the stop lamp flashing.

The Zapi B1 controller seems ok as it does not come up with any errors when we connect our handset. The brake comes off when we step on the floor plate switch. If we feed the Zapi unit direct with a supply to the direction inputs on the controller, the contacts energise and truck will drive, but we still do not have lift on the forks or the carriage.

We think there may be a safety system that has triggered, but cannot do much as we dont have much info on these trucks.

Cat engineer has been in and has called in for backup, so tomorrow the Cat tech expert is due in. However would like to know if anyone has any suggestions incase they cannot get it running.
Regards

Fact of the week
The origin of "love" as the score zero in tennis is debated, but two main theories prevail. One suggests it's derived from the French word "l'oeuf" (egg) which resembles the shape of the number zero. The other proposes it's related to the Dutch word "lof" meaning "honour" as players might be playing for honour when scoreless.
