The 2022 IMHX show was popularThe International Materials Handling Exhibition (IMHX) trade show, held every three years in the UK for the global warehouse and intralogistics sector, is transitioning to a biennial event from 2027.
IMHX, co-owned by the UK Material Handling Association (UKMHA) and Informa Markets, says the move to an event every second year is the result of demand for “more frequent networking and innovation showcases”.
Chris Morley, group director – maritime & logistics at Informa says: “The decision to move IMHX to a biennial schedule reflects the accelerating pace of innovation in our industry”.
“With widespread automation, AI adoption, and sustainability initiatives transforming warehousing and logistics at unprecedented speed, our stakeholders have clearly expressed the need for more regular opportunities to connect, showcase advancements, and drive business growth,” Morley continues.
The last IMHX event held was in Birmingham in 2022 and was attended by more than 10,100 people with 282 exhibitors.
Rob Fisher, CEO of the UKMHA, adds: “The transition to a biennial format represents our commitment to serving the evolving needs of the materials handling community”.
The 2025 IMHX event will be held in Birmingham between September 9 and 11, and is expected to attract 10,000 attendees.
