Hi Nomis

From my own experience it is quite hard to get into a manufacture with a new design , One reason is they have there own designers and tho i'm sure it is not intentional some times these work against you , I would suggest depending what your design is to look for a small manufacture who is in the area were your products are based.

The alternative is to try raise some money your self and set up a small manufacturing side to show that your idea's work. In a way this is better because wants you have some thing they can see look at and try manufactures are more willing to take this on. On the raising money side you must be care full as some people will say they can raise you funds when they can't go with some one with a very good rep. Also don't make one big mistake to think this can be all done in a couple of month or even less than a year from my own experience it take years even up to and over five. But please don't let this put you off because when you finally get there are the stuff before all the hard work all the meetings and all the traveling on a budget to meet people and be told to come back when you is up and running or yes they might be interested and then six months down the line they say well its not really for us and you have spent quite a bit of money on seeing them. there is not better feeling to know that yes you have done it and then watch them as they say well they did it.

I hope you all the best with your new adventure and it will be a adventure you will meet quite a lot of people along the way all will be help full even in way's that you might not think because some times some one saying no or it won't work are things that keep you going when you think should you just give up.

The one thing you should not do is give up no matter how bad it gets keep going and you will be surprised because one day all things will fall into place. I can't say when this will be it might be five month or it might be five years but if you keep going they it will come.
