I would think the rectifiers would affect the operation all the time. Need to check the handle potentiometer. Turn lift on and move handle just enough to start moving in either direction. If it continues to move, push handle to full travel. Does the lift stop or continue to run? If it stops suspect the pot has a problem. May have wiring issues at the pot or even at the ignition switch and possibly estop. Good Luck.
