As a forklift operator, my hours are generally more regular and the environment is less unpredictable than being on the road. I average about 40 hours a week, sometimes a bit more if there's a big job. The pay is pretty competitive with lorry driving, depending on where you're working. Personally, I enjoy it more because of the consistency and the opportunity to engage with a team regularly.
